excerpts of my life…

finding love is never easy, nor is it hard.
each encounter we make, it will leave a shard.
not new to heartaches, that’s what we are.
in times of sorrow, we look to the north star.
needing a fresh new start, we wanted to go far,
away from the suffering and pain that left a scar.

this is a new thing for us, we both know it.
how to make it work, together we’ll commit.
even the distance would not keep us apart,
rest assured that you will always have my heart.
every step and every stride, we’ll take them together.
stronger we’ll become, through stormy weather.
entering this new phase in our lives, as one.

searching for our happiness, that’s a challenge.
as long as we’re together, we will manage.
leaning to each other for support, we’ll stand tall.
visions of you and me, both in it for the long haul.
once in a lifetime, this opportunity comes along.
seriously will i work hard, not to do anything wrong.
all of this and more, because to you i belong.

Thank you because you decided to share you life with me. Life’s full of intersections and venues where different people meet up. There are many who are as interesting or probably even more fascinating than what my so-called life has to offer. Yet you chose to let me be part of your adventure, and you, mine. Thank you.

Thank you for being with me. You may not be beside me all the time, but I know you have me in your heart and thoughts. For that, I don’t feel so far from you, or alone anymore.

Thank you, for adding more color to my life. I see things differently now because of you. Now, everything’s brighter – the blues and grays, fewer.

Thank you as well for making me think of you all the time. An idle mind is just the pits. It may mean killing more brain cells, but I think these were deaths worth it.

For that matter, thank you too for making my heart go thumpity-thump-thump. It used to be only thump-thump. Beating more and faster gives my heart a lot of exercise that it sorely needs. You’re the one true thing that’s good for my heart.

And thank you, because saying ‘I love you’ to you is as natural as breathing.
